| Emotions are mental energies. Like all other energies emotions flow...they must flow out...they must be expressed. We express our emotions through our vocal chords...they become sound. (Notice the technology.) Unexpressed emotion energy flows into the body/mind and is stored there. (More technology.) To the mind emotional energy is foreign matter...an irritant...and the mind seeks to eject it. Using its memory retrieval function (a technical function) the mind automatically retrieves emotions back to the psyche to be expressed out of the mind. If we resist these emotions that lean against our psyche...when we don't accept and express these energies...we will have emotional problems such as mentioned below. Yoga breathing facilitates embracing and expressing emotions. |
