THE HYPOGLYCEMIC DIET

This diet is optimal for everyone whether or not you have hypoglycemia.

Prepare your food whenever possible with organic produce. If you must buy processed food (canned, frozen, whatever) always examine the ingredient label for chemical additives. You dont want manmade chemicals of any kind in your food.

Divide your day's food intake into five small meals.

Avoid all foods with chemical additives...such as artificial flavors, sweeterners and colors. Avoid MSG. Don't eat in fast food restaurants...they have additives.
3.
Eliminate all man-made sugars...table sugar, maple syrup, corn syrups, etc. Molasses and honey are relatively healthy sugars, but not for hypoglycemics.
4.
Stay away from all junk food. Eliminate man-made starches...bread, pasta, cakes, pastries, cookies, confections.
5.
Avoid soda-pop and super-market energy drinks. They are chemical cocktails.
6.
Avoid products containing canola and cotton-seed oils...and all soy products that have not been fermented. Soy sauce is okay.
7.
Eat meats that are low-fat and protein-rich. Focus on fish and fowl, not fried. Avoid mammal meat...and sea-food that is farm raised.
8.
Eat a complex carbohydrate diet, high in fiber. Focus on whole grains, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. Avoid products with gluten.
9.
Some vegetables like bananas, peas, potatoes, carrots and beets are high in natural sugar. If you have hypoglycemia avoid them until you heal...you may need to restrict yourself to salads for a while. Consult with your nutritionist.
10.
Eliminate homogenized-pasteurized cows milk...it is a dead food. Butter and yogurt are okay. Be careful of yogurt with additives. Goat milk products are preferable. No ice-cream at all.
11. Eliminate all social drugs such as nicotine, caffeine, alcohol and street drugs.
12. Tap water must be filtered for drinking and cooking...or buy quality spring water.
13. Take vitamins and minerals as prescribed by your nutritionist.
