It is imperative to understand the mind as a metaphysical entity. A prolific tool of consciousness, the mind has related levels, discussed below. Medical psychiatry disregards these exotic realms, becomes a stranger to spiritual reality and, thereby, initiates the many so-called psychoses it thrives on.

Metaphysics is composed of the Greek words meta meaning beyond, and physica meaning both physical and natural. The mind, then, provides entry to the realm beyond the physical, that of the supernatural...incorrectly viewed as fantasy and, thus, considered schizophrenic by an incompetent psychiatry.

First Level
The mind is the organ of memory. Memory is stored in the mind and, with its memory retrieval function, the mind retrieves memory to our consciousness.

The brain is not the organ of memory, nor is memory stored in the psyche. The entire body, from head to toe, is the mind. Memory is stored outside of the psyche, in the body/mind…memories of our thoughts and our perceptions.

Emotions also become lodged in the mind. When we do not express our emotions their energies will improperly flow into the mind and be stored there ultimately giving rise to emotional and mental problems. To heal of such issues we must lower our mental barriers (the ego), take back the emotion and express it outwardly...easily done with yoga breathing.

Second Level
The metaphysical mind transcends the human body and, as such, is analogous to the universe. Actually, there is only one mind in the entire universe…this is because the universe is the mind. This is established metaphysical truth.

Psychiatrist Carl G. Jung referred to the universe/mind when he lectured on the collective unconscious in the 1930s. Hinduism calls it the spiritual domain of Akasha, where Akashic records (memory of all past lives) are stored. Zen Buddhism refers to alaya consciousness or "the storehouse" and Christianity calls it The Book Of Life.

When you store memory in your body/mind it lodges, as well, in the greater universe. As such, your memory rubs elbows with the memory of everyone who has ever existed...including the Buddha, Moses and Jesus.

All knowledge stored in the universe/mind, since the beginning of time, is available to all of us at both the conscious and subconscious levels. This is confirmed with muscle testing called applied kinesiology.

This universal memory-database is the foundation of psychic phenomena and the basis of mental disturbances for people not aware they are psychically sensitive. People claim to be Moses or Jesus and are incorrectly diagnosed as psychotic...but, what happened is that they've received someone else's memory and, not realizing its metaphysical source, accepted it as their own.

Also...profoundly psychic children react to other people's subconscious pain. Due to their extreme behavioral reactions they are improperly diagnosed as autistic.

Third Level
Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." He meant it literally. Among other things, the mind is a conduit to the domain of spirit.

If, with eyes shut, you imagine yourself ascending somewhere very high up or descending somewhere very far down, it is the mind that you are literally traveling into and, at some point (either up there or down there), you will encounter the domain of spirit...and the entities that dwell there. This is one of the amazingly profound aspects of the mind...it is a spiritual conduit.

Shamans (spiritual healers) go on such mind journeys to obtain spiritual knowledge to heal the sick. (Google this and study a number of websites.)

These two domains, called the upper and lower worlds, at times spontaneously erupt their inherently radical spiritual contents upon the consciousness of people who are unaware of the existence of these inner domains.

They will have bizarre spiritual experiences visited upon their conciousness from these domains, and they will think they are going mad. Medical psychiatry, spiritually ignorant, will incorrectly diagnose them as schizophrenic.

Reality, as you see, can be fantastic.
