The Body/Mind

The mind is the organ of memory. We store memory in the mind and, with its memory retrieval function, the mind sends memory to our consciousness.

The Body/Mind
The brain is not the organ of memory, nor is memory stored in the psyche. The entire body is where memory is stored. The entire body is the mind.

The Brain - An Information Receiving System
Neurologist Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD describes the brain as a receiving system of memory, and says memory is lodged in the body's electro-magnetic field. This certainly provides food for thought.

Closer examination does show the brain to be a comprehensive information receiving system...to include mental information (our thoughts) and perceptual information that travels from our sensory organs along the neurological system to the brain, and then to consciousness.

Memory Energy
The mind is designed for storage of benign memory. Thought memory is benign mental energy and perception memory is benign neurological energy.

Emotion is not benign energy...it is powerful and even abrasive. Emotion does not belong in the mind. To the mind emotions are foreign matter...irritants. Like other organs, it reacts to foreign matter to be rid of it...eyes will tear, nose will sneeze, lungs will cough.

Mind Reacts To Emotions
With a build-up of emotional energy in the mind (due to suppressing) the mind automatically uses its memory retrieval function and moves emotions against our consciousness so we will take them back and express them outwardly. If the ego resists accepting them, they will irritate the psyche in the form of emotional problems.

A Side-Effect
Typically, we will mistakenly think there is something wrong with ourselves. But, emotional problems are a side-effect of the mind seeking to rid itself of unwelcome emotional energies.

So, the source of the psyche's emotional problems lies outside of the psyche...in the mind. (Sigmund...I hope this is sinking in.) Suppressed emotions must be embraced and expressed, then the body/mind is free of them and so are we.

Yoga breathing assists by deflating the ego so you can embrace and express suppressed emotion.
