About Grieving


When grieving is difficult it's because we do not want to feel the pain that is associated with our loss.

In addition, the loss we've just experienced becomes a cue to our mind and reactivates (brings up) all similar pain from the past. Thus, we are being affected by pain of loss in the present and pain of loss from the past. This much pain is too much to bear, so we resist it.

Never avoid emotional pain. To find relief from it you must allow yourself to have the pain...to experience it and, thereby, express it. When it gets expressed it has left you...it is no longer in your mind, affecting your stability.

Seldom does it take more than one breathing session to resolve this problem. The breathing will dissolve your barriers allowing your emotions to come into your consciousness where you experience and express it...and grieve.
